About Us

The Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama seeks to improve access for Alabama’s citizens to the safe, high quality, cost-effective healthcare that Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Nurse Midwives (CNMs) provide and to improve practice opportunities for every NP and CNM in the state of Alabama. We strive to improve interdisciplinary collaboration and respect in the medical communities in our state.

The primary purpose of our organization is to coordinate and provide a mechanism for all NP and CNM groups in Alabama to speak with one voice concerning:

  • Full utilization of NPs and CNMs for the citizens of Alabama

  • Advocating for professional privileges consistent with our educational preparation

  • Advocating for issues of significant importance for the general welfare of NPs and CNMs

  • Improving the health and welfare of Alabama’s citizens by improving the healthcare delivery system within our state.

We also serve as a clearing house for all communication, practice issues, educational opportunities, and other announcements pertinent to NP and CNM practices.

It is NOT the purpose of NPAA to replace any NP or CNM professional organization in Alabama, but to serve as a united voice for all professional NP and CNM organizations.

For more information please contact us, we encourage you get involved and enroll in our website. Once you enroll you will automatically receive all of our news, announcements and invites to upcoming events.
