Voice Your Questions/Concerns to Keynote Speaker
Dear NPALI Members,
I am excited to be coming to Long Island in April to present your keynote on “How Can NPs Reform Health Care?” My presentation will not be the typical “me talking/you listening” - so I’m asking for your help.
The purpose of choosing this “town hall meeting” format is so we get an opportunity to share our collective wisdom and start putting ideas we come up with together into practice. It’s the only way NPs CAN reform health care.
I am inviting you to share your ideas at the keynote on Friday, April 16th in any one of the three following domains:
- Clinical practice
- Legislative reform
- Media Outreach
If you would like to present an idea, please email me by March 1st so I can organize your ideas into a coherent presentation. Please put “NPALI member” in the subject heading of your email. Try to make them very concise and focused and, for the sake of time, please limit your submission to 300 words or less. Tie them to ACTIONS we can ALL take that will help bring about reforms. I will notify everyone who emails me ahead of time to let you know whether you will be called on to read your idea. It will depend on how many responses I get.
We all have strong feelings about health care reform and I’m counting on Long Island NPs to come forward with some brave new ideas about how to reform it.
I look forward to hearing from you via email (remember - by March 1st) and seeing you in April!
Carla Mills, ARNP
