    Consensus Model for APRN Regulation: Licensure, Accreditation, Certification, & Education document.

     Dear NAPNAP Member,

    NAPNAP Executive Board has been asked to endorse the Consensus Model for APRN Regulation: Licensure, Accreditation, Certification, & Education (July 2008).  This document is being sent to leaders from APRN stakeholder organizations who have participated in meetings or sessions for the APRN Consensus Process, and the formation of the Consensus Model for APRN Regulation: Licensure, Accreditation, Certification, & Education. The consensus document was completed through the collaborative work of the APRN Consensus Work Group and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing APRN Advisory Committee. NAPNAP has been involved in the development of this consensus document since 2004.

    The NAPNAP Executive Board will be discussing endorsement of this document during their Fall Board Meeting scheduled in October.  NAPNAP members are being asked to review this consensus document and provide us with your comments.  Comments should be sent to president@napnap.org no later then October 15, 2008 for Board consideration.
