    Professional Achievements: Mr. Edwards is a faculty member on Medscape's "Ask the Expert Nurse Practitioner Web Site" and was recently appointed by the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians to a 6 member expert panel on lipids. Lane was instrumental in publishing national guidelines for risk ****sment of lipid disorders from this panel. In 2004, Lane participated on a similar expert panel on Restless Legs Syndrome for the IAFP. Lane has participated in educational offerings at the local, district, regional, national, and international levels. Combining computer enhancement and educational training, he presents frequently on lipids, hypertension, and various cardiovascular diseases.
    A Little More About Me: Mr. Edwards is an adult nurse practitioner who co-owns and operates a family practice in Amherst, New Hampshire. Lane started his career in healthcare as an orderly; became licensed as an LPN; completed professional nurses training and worked in critical care for 10 years. He continued his education to enable licensure as an ARNP, working initially in cardiology and cardiac surgery. Lane went back into internal medicine after about 8 years where he practices now.
