What: Educational program with Rapid Fire/ Brief talks from 7 Nurse Practitioners on 8 topics. No commercial products discussed.

Topics: (eight): Chronic Kidney Disease, Smoking Cessation, 3 DNP Projects, Information about DNP program at UTC SON, About the Chattanooga Tumor Clinic, Ischemic EKG example (Info from Educational Conference attended by CME Scholarship Recipient) 

Unfortunately no CEU credit (given the high volume of presenters in a rapid fire setting).

When: Tuesday, February 18th 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Please try to arrive promptly.

Location:

University of Tennessee School of Nursing Building; Room Metro 226

Physical address: 518 Oak Street Chattanooga, TN. Park in UTC parking lot 39. Enter the building via the School of Nursing (labeled) door. You will immediately see an elevator and take to 2nd floor and you will see room Metro 226 in the back corner. There will be signs inside the building.

This is the same location as the UTC SON dinner program in September.

6 pm to 6: 15 pm: Get food/ sign in and mingle.

6:15- 6:30 pm: CANAP President Glenna Lashley, NP- Introduction/ CANAP official Business

6:30- 6:45 pm: Jessica Craig, Nephrology NP: Chronic Kidney Disease

6:45- 7 pm: Roxanne Phillips, Vascular NP: Smoking Cessation

7 pm- 7:10 pm: Information about UTC's DNP: UTC School of Nursing DNP Nursing Concentration Coordinator Dr. Joanie Jackson, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC (10 min)

7:10 pm- 8 pm: UTC affiliated students/ recent DNP graduates will present their projects (60- 75 min)

-Three UTC School of Nursing DNP Students (1. Mary Jo Blanton and 2. Katy Poole) / DNP graduate (3. Kristi Wick) will talk for 15 minutes on each of their projects (5 min for questions)

8 pm- 8:15 pm:  Tina Q. Harris, NP-C: About the Chattanooga Tumor Clinic- a brief introduction. They service the underserved population diagnosed with cancer. Managing director Tina Harris will discuss the programs they have available.  

8:15 pm- 8:30 pm: Kelly Licht, NP- Recipient of Educational Conference Scholarship 2019. I will present a case study using an example of "Ischemic EKGs" learned at cardiology conference. Thank you for the scholarship.
