Learning Objectives
At the completion of the program the participants will be able to:
  1. Discuss the status of full practice authority in Kansas and the United States.
  2. Describe how they can participate in activities to promote advanced practice nursing in Kansas.

Audience: Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and APRN students

Program Outline:
  1. History of Kansas APRN legislative efforts and national environment
  2. Current issues for Kansas APRNs – Independent Midwifery Law, KS Rural Health Working Group, KSBHA/KSBN Joint Meetings.
  3. How to get involved in APRN promotion and information about KAPN

Contact Hours: One.

To successfully complete this activity, the participant must: sign the roster, attend the entire program, complete and submit an activity evaluation, collect a Certificate of Successful Completion at the completion of the program.

Cost:
  • KAPN member – no charge
  • Non-KAPN - $20 for CE, No charge if no contact hours requested.
