Position Description

Seeking Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

Dignity Health/St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is actively seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to join our cutaneous oncology team at The University of Arizona Cancer Center at Dignity Health/St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center (UACC/SJHMC), in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona.

The UACC/SJHMC is seeking a knowledgeable and energetic Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with the Section Leader/Mohs Surgeon, dermatologist and medical oncologist to implement a comprehensive and high quality clinical cutaneous oncology service. The tasks may include, but are not limited to, obtaining a patient's history, performing physical examinations, performing and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnoses, providing care, symptom management, prescribing treatment, and disease prevention in the adult patient. The Nurse Practitioner may assist in the admission or transfer of patients to the Hospital from the Cancer Center. The tasks will also include making appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies, participating in quality assurance and quality improvement program and working within a multidisciplinary team to develop plan for the patient and their family. The Nurse Practitioner will be on-call in rotation with other allied health providers.

This position is critical to the success of the cutaneous oncology service at the UACC/SJHMC and requires understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. • Three years clinical experience in area of specialty
• Master's in nursing Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
• AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
• Registered in AZ as nurse practitioner
• Hold and maintain national certification in NP area, under AZ regulations
• Specialty certification when applicable; acceptable if obtained within the first 18months.
