Facility:

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center with Level 3 pediatrics capabilities. The neurosurgery department works closely with two neurosurgeons who require advanced practice clinician support for clinic, call, and surgical cases. The facility offers comprehensive neurosurgical services and is seeking temporary coverage due to FMLA.

Opportunity: ACLS-ATLS - Neurosurgery

This is a full-time locum tenens position requiring recent neurosurgery experience including surgical cases. The role involves working with two neurosurgeons in a collaborative practice environment with a variety of neurosurgical procedures and patient care responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Clinical hours Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with 10-12 patients per day
• Call frequency 1:3 weekdays/weekends with 20-minute beeper response time
• Surgical first assist duties for procedures including craniotomy, craniectomy, spinal fusions, decompressive surgeries, and interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries
• Independent rounding in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor
• Hospital and ER/UC consults
• Outpatient consultations, post-operative/post-hospital patient care
• Fracture care, patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation
• Must have ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Start date ASAP with ongoing assignment duration
• Nearest airport is CWA (Central Wisconsin Airport)

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
