Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – On-Site

Location: Fort Myers, FL

About The Role

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join the employee health center serving the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and their families. This is a 100% on-site position with the potential to transition from a temporary to permanent role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family practice or internal medicine and be comfortable providing care to pediatric patients for acute visits and sports physicals.

Note: Must currently hold a Florida Dispensing License and DEA to be considered.

• 3 Providers
• 5 Medical Assistants (MAs)
• 1 Radiology Technician
• 1 RN (Facility Manager)
  
  

Schedule

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• No nights or weekends
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver primary care treatment in an employer-based health center
• Provide episodic care (low acuity urgent care)
• Manage chronic diseases for patients aged 18+
• Offer pediatric acute care for ages 2+
• Perform CLIA-waived tests
• Dispense prescription medications (requires FL Dispensing License & DEA)
• Collaborate with onsite staff to provide biometric screenings and health/wellness education
• Conduct one-on-one health coaching and refer patients to wellness programs
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Florida FNP License
• Minimum 3+ years NP experience, working independently in family practice or internal medicine
• Ability to practice independently in Florida
• DEA licensure and prescriptive authority (required)
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Current BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
• Passion for health, wellness, and patient education
• High energy with a customer-centric focus
