It you haven't heard yet the Barbara Lumpkin Controlled Substance Prescribing Act (HB 423) was signed into law by Governor Scott. The Board of Nursing needs to write regulations before we can start prescribing controlled substances. There is a joint committee of NPs, physicians and pharmacy that will be formed. Stay tuned for more news from our state NP organizations.
