Suicide Prevention Training

ARNPs United Board Member and AANP Region X Director Tracy Klein shares the following link to a Suicide Prevention Training Program that fulfils the current Washington State requirement. After January 1, 2017 you must complete 6 hours of a state approved Suicide Prevention Training Program within your next licensing cycle. We don't know the cost or how widely the state approved programs will be.

The program below is accredited by the California Board of Nursing for suicide assessment and management and issues an immediate certificate. You can read the pdf and content (uses the DOD/VA guidelines) in advance to see if it works for you. $18.00, paid only when you take the exam. Others with a slightly different focus are available.
