2016 NP of the Year : Colleen Walsh-Irwin, DNP, RN, ANP
2016 NPALI Nurse Practitioner of the Year
The NPALI Awards Committee is pleased to announce that Dr. Colleen Walsh-Irwin, DNP, RN, ANP has been chosen as the 2016 Nurse Practitioner of the Year. Dr. Walsh-Irwin is an Adult Nurse Practitioner currently practicing in at the VAMC in Northport. She serves as an advisor for the Veteran's Administration Central Office of Nursing Services developing nursing cardiovascular policies and procedures for the Veteran's Health Administration. Dr. Walsh-Irwin is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at Stony Brook. She has published extensively in professional journals and book chapters. She has been a tireless advocate for the nursing profession and nurse practitioners throughout her career. NPALI is pleased to recognize her many accomplishments with this year's award.
