Independent Study: Healthy Weight Management in Primary Care

It can be difficult for patients and providers to discuss weight during a medical visit. This course gives providers strategies to begin these discussions respectfully and to incorporate healthy weight management for all patients into their practices. The course includes updates on recent research on factors that affect weight such as nutrition, physical activity, stress and sleep. It includes practical strategies to help patients adopt healthy behaviors and to work on improving health status at any size.
