The NPA Syracuse Chapter

Hello all,

Well the time has come and the torch is being passed on to Lisa Cico and Amy Scullion as the 2013 NPA co-Presidents. Thank you to Cheryl Luttinger and Ann Roman for their hard work in 2012. As a new Nurse Practitioner I personally want to thank everyone for trusting me in this role and to the vetern NPA board members for embracing us newbies and showing us the ropes. That being said, I would like to invite our newer graduates and those that will be graduating to consider running for a position in the coming years. There are many non-elected positions available that should also be considered and is a great way to meet everyone and understand the process if you should decide to run in the future. We want to send out a big Thank you to Helen O'neil for taking over and doing a fantastic job setting up our annual teaching day, June 7, 2013. I think you will all be very happy with all that she has prepared for us. She can always use help on the committee preparing and also the day of the conference, please see Helen or just stay after the general meeting if your interested. January dinner meeting we help our election and would like to congratulate,

Co-President-Elect - Geri Hall & Meryl Lefkowicz

Treasurer - Dorothy Champney

Secretary - Megan Atkinson

Thank you in advance for all your hard work and support.

As you know we collected money in Maureen O'hara's honor for, Teal there is a Cure, in support of Ovarian cancer. We were able to raise $95.00. Thank to everyone to donated.

We have received numerous messages that there are still many NPA members who are not aware that we have moved to the ENP site and do all our correspondence through this site. To be sure we do not miss or loose a single member due tot his change we as a board have decided to send out a notice to all members with this information. In addition, we will include a "save the date" for our teaching day.

Next general meeting is Feb 12 at Gentiles Restaurant, please be sure to RSVP on the web site.

Sincerely,
Co-Presidents Amy Scullion & Lisa Cico
