KVUE RETRACTS their plan to run a "defenders" story about APRN's!
KVUE (Austin ABC affiliate) has wisely decided to not run the inflammatory piece about APRN's according to Kristie Gonzales, President and GM of KVUE. This decision was based on feedback by APRN's and review of the story which "did not pass our editorial standards around balance, objectivity and integrity". While this is a great move, we need to continue to hold this news station to task, respectfully requesting that they provide some sort of explanation to their viewers (ideally in the first 10 mins of the newscast) why the segment will not be airing. In a perfect world, they would invite an APRN to come on and explain how APRN's bring a very special and important role to healthcare. Send an email to Ms. Gonzales, asking for just that!
