It’s time for the Spring Symposium!!!

Tee Hee, Tea, and Thee: High Tea, Humor and Healing

Presented by Donna Strickland, CNS, PMHCNS-BC

Mark your calendars for this fun event, Ladies & Gents!  End your week on an up note!  Friday May 12.

We shall gaze upon our friends and colleagues with great love, laughter & lightness of being. And we will learn a humor skill or two to lighten up, let go, & laugh at the sheer absurdity of the parts of our world that seems a little off.  Come prepared with an open mind for surprises & fun.  We'll say hello to our dearest friends and loving mentors from afore or yet to be; and welcome our newest members who will carry the torch into the start of infinity. Laughter is a powerful source of healing and in these troubled times, we all need each other, and ways to cope with the uncertainty and unknowns.

Donna Strickland, one of the 5 Certified Speaking Professionals in the nation, and one of our fellow Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses, will lead us in a fun-filled playful journey on the afternoon of our High Tea. Donna has successfully traveled the nation teaching healthcare providers how to Lead, Laugh, Lighten Up, and Look at their own personal journeys and the impact they have on others. Donna is a national speaker, coach and organizational development consultant with more than 25 years of experience and well over 2.5 million workshop participants/audience members to her credit.  Donna’s clients have included The Mayo Clinic, CoorsTek, American Hospital Association, NASA, Hewlett-Packard, Lucent Technologies, Texaco, AT&T, Continental Airlines, Methodist Hospitals, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, ACX Technologies, Voluntary Hospitals of America, the American Nurses Association, Merrill Lynch, the United States Dept. of Interior, the United States Air Force and hundreds of health care organizations around the country.

Donna lives with her 2 children, 3 dogs & more dustballs than you can count in central Denver. She is the Vice President of the CO Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses (SIG 31) and the President – Elect of the Colorado Nurses Association. The intent of this presentation is to learn about and experience the healing powers of laughter and to network with our fellow Psych NPs and CNSs. We hope to see you there.
