While we are Advanced Practice Providers in our role, we are all still nurses at heart.  Our role of diagnosing, managing and prescribing medications is in addition to the nuturing, caring, and educating role of a nurse.  The times ahead are uncertain in health care, so I leave you with a quote from Florence Nightingale:
