Greetings fellow Alaska nurse practitioners, family, and friends! I would like to wish you all a Happy Nurse Practitioner Week! This annual celebration is an opportune time to increase awareness to our communities about the exceptional health care that nurse practitioners provide every day.

This is also a great time to acknowledge each of your own accomplishments and reflect on why you decided to advance into a leadership role in nursing. This is truly an exceptional career in the world of healthcare, and the fact that millions of patients choose nurse practitioners as their health care providers is truly an accomplishment to be proud of!
