THERE'S STILL TIME!: Send an Email to The House Government Operations Committee!

The Vermont Nurse Practitioners Association

The Office of Professional Regulations has moved to remove the collaboration transition to practice agreement and practice guidelines from law. Currently, NPs cannot practice solo for the first two years/2400 hours after graduation according to state statute.

The Vermont Medical Society is pushing back hard against this change.

Don't wait! Decisions are being made now and the committee needs to hear from you. Transition to practice agreements and the requirement of filed practice guidelines are an affront to our ethics and professionalism and are not supported by our evidence of excellence.

You can help! Send the following sentence to the following emails, and then have your colleagues, particularly your physician colleagues, do the same thing:

I support the removal of the collaborative agreement transition to practice and practice guidelines for nurse practitioners as outlined in the OPR bill.
