This was a very successful week in Concord, as there were two important victories in the House Finance Committees on Wednesday. The Committee voted by the surprisingly large margin of 24-2 to recommend the passage of an amended version of SB 313, the Medicaid Expansion bill. The amendment was supported by both Republicans and Democrats, and it now goes to the House floor for a vote next week. In addition, the Committee voted out a version of SB 590, the bill on which there was a public hearing last week to consider an amendment that would have levied a 5.5% tax on various healthcare providers, including APRNs. As you will recall, NHNPA testified in opposition to that amendment, and the version of SB 590 which emerged from the Committee did not include the tax provisions
