The Texas Board of Nursing  has begun auditing national certification status.APRNs must provide evidence of current national certification in each APRN role and population focus area for which the APRN is required to be certified in ,in order to be eligible to renew their liscenses . This refers to rule 221.8 Maintaining Active Authorization as an APN .
