Mt Baker NP Association Update - April 2019

Bellingham, WA
The Mount Baker Nurse Practitioners Association

Dear Members and Followers,

It’s been a busy first quarter of the year and we have more fun and educational events coming up soon! Here are our next three activities:

May 23rd - 6:30-8:30pm - St. Lukes Education Center, Bellingham
"Psychiatric Potpourri" open panel with Dr. Susan Hakeman MD-talking about adult ADD, Michele Rowsome PMHNP talking about adult bipolar eval/management, Teresa Waters MHNP-talking about anxiety, and Dr. Caroly Mathews PsyD talking about insomnia management as a CBIT specialist. This is a great night to bring your difficult cases, mental health questions to our panel of experts.

June 1st – 8am – 9:15am – Avenue Bread, 2301 James Street, Bellingham, WA 98225
This is an informal time to get together and share, network and have a good breakfast out with some fantastic local NPs. Breakfast not provided but available at the restaurant. Just chat and enjoy breakfast, coffee or connecting with your colleagues. There will be a focus on students and preceptors at this breakfast.

Project Homeless Connect is happening on July 19th at Bellingham High School. We would love any NP volunteers for a part or full day to provide care in many ways to the homeless community. This volunteer opportunity can be very rewarding to spend a day helping people with foot care, medical assessments, haircuts, vision screenings or just socializing with guests, to name a few. Please contact Kirstin Curtis ARNP if you would like to volunteer.

We hope you can join us for one of these exciting events!

Thanks,

The Mt Baker NP Association Board
