Congratulations to our colleague and Texas GCGAPNA members:

Drs. Sabrina Pickens and Vaunie Fay two of three UT HEALTH Cizik School of Nursing Faculty for receiving a new grant awarded by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) July 11, 2019, that will focus on integrating geriatrics into primary care training.  The grant will support the establishment of the South East Texas Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (SETx-GWEP), a network of health professions schools and community-based organizations to develop a healthcare workforce that maximizes patient and family engagement while improving health outcomes for older adults by integrating geriatrics and primary care. The grant is funded for five years, since July 2019.
