Lisa Salazar, Jennifer Nava and I enjoyed attending the legislative update hosted by IENA on October 17th. Many representatives from our local government were attendance including the school board, city council, and legislative candidates. We had a chance to catch up with Rep. Marcus Riccelli, 3rd Legislative Dist. to discuss HB 1433 - Requiring health insurance parity for advanced registered nurse practitioners. He is a sponsor of this bill and a member of the House Health Care and Wellness Committee. We discussed the need for a hearing for this bill and he is in support of this next step in the process.
