ANPA Education Grant Application- Deadline is November 29

The Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association (ANPA) is pleased to announce the availability of two $500 educational grants annually. One grant will be awarded January 2020 and the second will be awarded August 2020.
The applicants must be enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner (NP) master’s, post-master’s certificate, or Doctoral NP program. Each grant is a one-time monetary award given directly to the recipient. Criteria for eligibility:
- Hold a current, active Arkansas RN License
- Be a resident of Arkansas
- Member of ANPA for at least previous 6 months
- US citizen or legal resident
- Initial Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure applicants
- Must have completed at least one semester of an accredited NP program.
- Submit a verification letter from the NP program director stating current enrollment status and number of hours for upcoming semester enrollment
- Post-master’s certificate and DNP students (with current NP certification)
- Must submit verification letter from the NP program director stating current enrollment status and number of hours for upcoming semester enrollment
- Provide a copy of the most recent transcript
- Current GPA of 3.2 or greater
- Provide a copy of NP program of study requirements
- Provide two letters of professional reference
- Submit a typed essay describing overall educational and career goals.
- Include why you want to become a nurse practitioner or attain a new NP concentration
- Why you should be considered for the grant.
- The letter must be 500 words or less
- Applicant CANNOT be a member of the ANPA Board of Directors or immediate family member of an ANPA Board of Directors member
