Weed and Feed: Breastfeeding and Marijuana Use The literature is limited and contradictory regarding recreational marijuana use during breastfeeding making it challenging to advise breastfeeding mothers about the impact of their marijuana use on themselves and their infant. This presentation will focus on an introduction to the problem and evaluation of literature related to the effect of marijuana exposure on infants and mothers.The presentation will conclude with recommendations for an evidence-based approach for counseling breastfeeding mothers who use marijuana.
