GOVERNOR PARSON ORDERS SUSPENSION OF GEOGRAPHIC PROXIMITY REQUIREMENT

Missouri
Association of Missouri Nurse Practitioners

GREAT NEWS!

As of this morning, Governor Parson has suspended the geographic proximity requirement that requires APRN's and physicians in a collaborative practice agreement to be within 75 miles of each other. He is expected to announce the suspension at his 3PM press conference hosted live on Facebook.

While we believe that additional steps should be taken and other rules suspended, this gives some relief to those who are currently burdened with this unnecessary restriction.

We will keep you posted on any new developments and continue pushing for the additional suspension of unnecessary regulations that are inhibiting NP's from providing patient care.
