POPS Virtual Meeting for Proposed Bylaw Changes
To Our POPS Membership,
This is an unprecedented time in our world right now, and I know that all of you are going through some of the craziest times in our careers. As we have announced previously, POPS Annual Conference in conjunction with POSNA has canceled the annual meetings due to the global COVID-19 situation. The board of directors and the conference committees have met and elected to not do a virtual meeting or conference this year, as that would take a great deal of planning and we are trying to respect how busy all of our frontline colleagues are at this time.
The annual business meeting will still proceed in a different form this year. The board has voted that for the remainder of 2020, all business conducted by the membership will be voted on via SurveyMonkey. Along with this, we have proposed several bylaw updates that were thoughtfully worked on at the board retreat last Fall. Along with this announcement will be the proposed bylaw changes for membership to review. Should you have any questions about these changes or proposed suggestions for a change please reach out to me directly and I will bring it to the board. 30 days from the distribution of these proposed bylaw changes, we will send a SurveyMonkey for the POPS membership to vote on approval or dismissal of the bylaw changes.
I encourage everyone to look at these and please feel free to let me know if there are other concerns that need to be addressed via the SurveyMonkey “virtual meeting”.
