The American Association of Nurse Practitioners has created a fact sheet on the changes to Medicare and Medicaid home health law specific to Washington State which is attached. Federal law now allows NPs and CNSs to order home health and supplies.  The Health Care Authority adopted emergency rules to align with federal law.  ARNPs United of Washington State continues to monitor the Health Care Authority's rule making process to assure the state's restrictive Medicaid home health rules are eliminated.
