Racism and Oppression in Health Care Webinar

In recognition of the deleterious effects of racial disparities in health care, SIG 31 and the Colorado Nurses Association is sponsoring a virtual presentation entitled: Checking our Vital Signs: Racism & Oppression in Health Care, a web-based training that will take place on January 19, 2021, from 6 to 9 PM. There is no cost to attend this event but you must register and space is limited.

We are pleased and honored to have presenters who have a depth of experience training health care professionals using an Intercultural Development Continuum and a program they have developed to help us identify and think through ways of addressing systemic oppression both in our internal experience and our professional roles. The presenters are led by Ms. Deran Young, LCSW, MSW, MPA, who has vast experience in intersectional mental health, diversity, social justice, and organizational behavior. She is an innovative leader, social worker, and activist. She has global clinical experience with a work history that spans the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia. She and her team will bring the Intercultural Development Continuum training to Colorado Nurses. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity to explore the topic of racial disparities from the inside out.  Register early, space is limited.
