****ACTION ALERT - HB 2331***

On Monday, April 25th, the Senate Professional Registration Committee will hear testimony on HB 2331, an omnibus health care and licensing bill filed by Rep. Ben Baker. This bill was amended during floor debate to include an APRN license, removal of the geographic proximity barrier, the removal of the rural area of need for APRNs providing telehealth, and the ability to write home health orders. While this is certainly not our entire legislative agenda, it is a significant step in the right direction. As such we are asking for YOUR help.

The hearing will be held at 2PM in the Senate Lounge. We would like to have a strong showing of NPs in support of the measure. If you are able at all to come testify in support, we would welcome and encourage you to do so. If you are not able to attend in person, please consider submitting written testimony to the committee members and ask them to support including the APRN provisions within the existing bill.

To testify in person, please take the elevator to the 3rd floor to the Senate side of the building (east side). Please arrive no later than 1:45.
