Legislative Update:

HB320 was signed by Governor Carney.  This bill allows Delaware APRNs to prescribe medications to terminate pregnancy.  DCNP supported this bill to support prescribing parity as this is medication that is prescribed by other healthcare providers.  We provided information to legislators about the NPs scope of practice as requested to legislators during the hearing of the bill. Delaware now joins 18 other states that allow qualified medical professionals, including APRNs and Physicians Assistants, to prescribe and administer these medications.  Thank you to those who contacted their legislators related to this bill.
