The Chesapeake Bay Affiliate of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CBANACNS) is pleased to present updated regulations for Maryland Clinical Nurse Specialists. CBANACNS and the Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians (MAAPC) have been working for the past 2 years with the Maryland Board of Nursing and the Department of Health to modernize regulations in the Nurse Practice Act to be consistent with the national standards for scope of practice for clinical nurse specialists.
