I am reaching out today for a learning opportunity offered by the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy concerning opioids. We offer a free program for CME, CNE and ACPE credit. This program uses a virtual platform to provide 15-20 minute education outreach visits that are approved for 0.5 contact hours. Scheduling is easy at your own convenience which you can accomplish online or reach out directly and we will respond during our hours of 7:00 am to 9:00 pm CST.
The program provides information on appropriate treatment of pain which can increase effectiveness and safety, while decreasing overuse and misuse of opioids. It is a non-commercial, unbiased, and evidence based up to date source of information. It is designed to update clinician knowledge of new clinical guidelines, including diagnosis and screening for opioid use disorder in high risk patients. Since the program aligns the interests of patients, physicians, and payer, it may improve quality of care and clinical outcomes. In addition, these programs can be used to meet DEA re-licensure requirements for prescribers.
I am hoping there may be a way to include this link on your site: https://academicdetail.pharmacy.uic.edu/
Thank you for your time,
Rachel Cooper
