We are writing to all of you regarding the upcoming State Board of Nursing (SBON) rulemaking:

Permanent Rulemaking Hearing - January 25, 2023

The Colorado Nursing Board will hold a virtual Permanent Rulemaking Hearing to allow stakeholders a final opportunity to provide testimony before the Board considers adopting proposed changes to Rules 1.14 and 1.15 to ensure the Board's rules are consistent with currently accepted professional standards. 

This rule making will impact our scope of practice as APRNs and patient access to care. SIG30 will be supporting CNA in their efforts to preserve and expand APRN practice in Colorado. We highly recommend that you review the following bullets listed below and would greatly appreciate your support in this matter.
