Non compete contacts can block workers from pursuing better opportunities and by preventing employers from hiring the best available talent. In January, the Federal Trade Commission proposed to end non compete agreements.  This proposal is open for public comment. The new deadline for public comments on the proposed rule is April 19, 2023.
