On April 6 Governor Inslee signed legislation amending the Death With Dignity Act.  The bill adds ARNPs to serve as an attending or consulting provider.  Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners are authorized to determine if a patient is competent and not suffering from a condition that impairs judgement. The law becomes effective 90 days after the adjournment of the session.
