In response to exciting new legislation allowing full prescriptive authority to Maryland Clinical Nurse Specialists, a MACNS workgroup has compiled recommendations to bring CNS prescriptive authority to Maryland organizations.

The attached letter gives practical recommendations to realize the full potential of the state's CNSs to lead improvements for Marylanders, nurses, and health systems as transformative innovators with a full scope of Advanced Practice Registered Nurse practice.
