Committee Substitute for House Bill No. 201, was approved 4/12/2024 and takes effect on July 1, 2024. The impact of this Bill on nurse practitioners (NP) is significant, especially in emergency situations involving patients with diabetes. NP's can now authorize emergency refills of Insulin and Insulin related supplies or equipment. Compliance: Section 2. Subsection (3) of section 893.04, Florida Statutes is amended to read:  893.04  Pharmacist and practitioner.  NP's need to be aware of the limitations set by this bill.
