Dear Utah Nurse Practitioners (UNP) Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from UNP as your President effective August 31st due to significant health concerns that require my full attention and relocation to sea level. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as your President and am so proud of the progress we have made together towards our goals.

Even though I will no longer be leading the organization, I want to assure you that my commitment to UNP and its mission remains unwavering. I will do everything I can to ensure a seamless transition and am excited to announce that Melissa Hinton – Past President for UNP, will be taking over as interim President. She is a proven leader and former UNP president with a deep understanding of our goals and the vision to continue guiding us forward.

As I step down, I urge everyone to stay focused on the important work we are doing. Our goals are within reach, and I have every confidence that together, we will continue to make a meaningful difference, grow our organization, and blossom. I also encourage you all to remain actively engaged in UNP- your contributions are vital to our success. Nominations are now being opened up, please engage to nominate colleagues who deserve recognition, join the BOD by running for a position on the board, and grant deserving outstanding students with scholarships. Make sure you join us for the membership and awards dinner in November!

I am thankful for the support of the UNP community during this time and look forward to staying involved in a new general membership capacity. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if I can be of assistance in any way.

With sincere appreciation and best wishes for the future,

Dr. Janet Crawford DNP, MBA,

President of UNP
