How long have you been a member of ISAPN?

25 years

 

What is your area of practice/specialty?

Acute care

 

If you could vacation anywhere, where would you go and why? 

Italy. I would love to enjoy their food, landscape and beautiful art. 

 

How many years have you worked in healthcare? 

45 years. Recently retired in September

 

What inspired you to become a member of ISAPN?

I think it's very important to support state organizations that support practice and keep you up-to-date on legislative changes

 

What is your favorite book?

I love mysteries and especially books by Lisa Jewel

 

If you couldn't be an APRN, what other job would you try? 

If I couldn't be an APRN I would go back to working as an RN as I love the service industry and helping families

 

How has being a member of ISAPN benefited you?

I have met many wonderful people, have attended many wonderful CEU events, and have stayed up-to-date on legislative change in practice

 

If you could go back in time and give yourself advice as a student. What would it be? 

Always make it a priority to listen to people. You can often times solve problems by a good history.
