Well here it is, almost the end to another year and all the festivities that come at this time of year!!  We have had a great year in the Florida Chapter of NAPNAP!  We won best small chapter at the Annual National Conference for NAPNAP in Chicago.  Our immediate past president Janel Saunders was on hand to recieve the award in April.  We elected new board members in July.  Myself as President, Lorraine Woodward as VP, Mary Alice Leinbach as Treasurer, Christine May as Secretary and Rosemary Liguori as Legislative Chair.  Thank you to Angela Venezio serving another year as Scholarship Chair and to Janel Saunders as immediate past President and Membership Chair.  I was invited to Tampa to respresent NAPNAP at the ACNP annual conference.  We had a lot of great speakers this year: Allison Kovacs, Christine Jones, Ted Bland and  Angela Donohue.  We appreciate their support of NPs and sharing their knowledge with us.  Our last dinner meeting was in October but they will continue in Jan. 2011.  Don't forget to register for the Conference to be held on Jan. 29, 2011 in St. Petersburg. Last year we joined with the Gulf Coast Chapter to hold a yearly conference.  In Jan 2010, it was held in Orlando and will be held at All Children's Out Patient Clinic in St. Petersburg in 2011.  Topics will include craniofacial, sports medicine, genetics, neurology, cardiology and premature infants in primary care.  Sign up today for this 1 day conference.
