Dr. Shana Metzger is currently serving on active duty in the U.S. Air Force as an Aeromedical Nurse Practitioner, specializing in aerospace and family medicine, and has developed an educational opportunity to develop a patient-centered plan for managing chronic pain in primary care, evidence-based management of both acute and subacute pain, and strategies to mitigate the risk when prescribing opioids.
