As of February 9, 2011, under Chapter 331 of the Laws of 2010 (commonly known
as the Palliative Care Information Act), physicians and nurse practitioners
are required to offer to provide terminally-ill patients with information and
counseling concerning palliative care and end-of-life options. The attached
letter provides a brief summary of the law.
