Dear Colleagues:

PCNP is excited to learn that legislation will be introduced next week to allow NPs to certify cause of death and sign death certificates. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We only have 1 week to contact legislators and ask them to co-sponsor this legislation. We need to tell them to contact Representative Kerry Benninghoff’s office at (717) 783-1918 immediately to let him know they will agree to co-sponsor. Below is a link to the letter that Representatives Benninghoff and Readshaw have already sent to all members asking for their support.

The goal is to have as many co-sponsors on the bill as possible before it gets introduced, so it will have more chances of becoming law. The bill will be introduced before summer recess, and then we will need to work hard over the summer to get it moving!

We will let you know of our upcoming Lobby Day by July, so stay tuned!
