Support Congresswoman Lois Capps, RN
Dear CANP member,
Lois Capps, RN (one of 5 nurses serving in Congress) represents the Central Coast of California—Santa Barbara/San Luis Obispo counties—and is receiving heavy opposition. Lois has been a strong advocate for all that we care about as nurses; having been the founder and co-chair of the House Nursing Caucus. She is endorsed by the ANA Political Action Committee.
She particularly needs donations now but if you have colleagues in her district 24 (http://capps.house.gov/ ), please let them know that she also needs volunteers. Nurses have been key volunteers in helping candidates get elected/re-elected—we need to do the same for Lois. Have them contact Jennifer Cooper at Lois’s campaign jennifer@cappsforcongress.com to volunteer.
