"NP Modernization Act” Poised to Move in Assembly! 

With the legislative session scheduled to end on June 21st we have some great news to report!The NPA is pleased to announce that the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act (A.5308) is on the Assembly Higher Education Committee agenda for this Wednesday, June 13th. It is our understanding that the Chair of the committee, Assembly member Debra Glick, is going to recommend that the bill be reported out of the committee, with the expectation that amendments will be filed shortly thereafter. These amendments are still being negotiated and have not yet been finalized. Once the amendments are finalized, they will be shared with members for your information.No immediate grassroots action from the field is required at this time.

In the interim however, if you wish to contact your local Assembly member, please let the Assembly member know that A.5308 is on the Higher Education Committee agenda, and ask for his or her support."
