NPAA continues to receive reports from its members of lapses in licensure. These lapses occur because the Alabama Board of Nursing does not  receive verification of certification renewal from ANCC. The verification is not automatically sent after the renewal application is completed. The applicant must request this by navigating to a separate page of the website. If you, or your colleague, has recently recertified with ANCC, please check with the Alabama Board of Nursing to determine whether the proper documentation has been received.
