Poor vaccine response common among youths with persistent infections Children who have persistent acute otitis media or rhinitis also often have poor responses to Hemophilus influenza B and pneumococcal vaccines, researchers found. The study also showed poor natural immunity to the organisms in patients of all ages who had recurrent infections.
