Hello FL NAPNAP Members:

I would like to take this opportunty to introduce myself.  My name is Lorraine Woodward and I am  the new FL NAPNAP President. I currently work in pediatric cardiology alongside Dr. Jorge Garcia and Dr. Agustin Ramos. I have been a NAPNAP member for many years and have taken on the role of legislative liason, secretary and Vice President, prior to my current position. I had a wonderful time working alongside Melissa Kelly, who is our immediate past president, I am excited to take on my new role and work with a great team of board members. Let me introduce them to you as well:  Kathleen Adragna, Vice President, Kathleen Jones -Bagley, Treasurer and Kerry Mullen, Secretary.  Scholarship Chair will remain the same:  Bonnie Lanternier and also Membership Chair will remain the same:  Michele Pedulla.  Please feel free to contact our board members with any questions or concerns you may have.  

Please take the time to Join as a Member on our website. There is no cost for joining. By doing so you will be able to see upcoming events including CEU dinners and local/national conferences. In addition, you will have the chance to see who in the community is hiring, as we do have a job board section.  Keep an eye out for our preceptor list as we always know of a student or students in need of preceptors. Let us know if you would like to be added to that list as well. 

As of now, we are planning on doing our first dinner event on Tuesday, September 25th, 2012. Our planned guest speaker is a neurosurgeon from Nemours Childrens Hospital and will be speaking about concussions in the context of sports and return to play.  Location TBA.
